The Draft is a new annual publication of the University Writing program at BYU — it is dedicated to finding and publishing the best in freshman writing. The papers printed here are the winning entries in the annual Writing 150 contest. Each paper was written for a class assignment during the semester the student was enrolled in Writing 150. The contest categories include narrative, analysis, research paper, or opinion editorial (coming in 2014). For a full description of each category and for contest rules and deadlines visit http://writing.byu.edu/contest/
